Bride & Groom: Kim James & Grant Grisham
Date: 10.10.10
Venue: Royale Orleans
When I first met with Kim back in February, one thing was crystal clear...this girl was INNNNN LOVE! With googly eyes, she referred to Grant as her prince charming and I felt like she couldn't take another minute of not being Mrs. Grisham. For a photographer, this is what I like to call yummy. It's kind of like knowing ahead of time that 8 months later you are going to be indulging in a giant slice of warm homemade apple pie with caramel and ice cream on top...yum right?!
After the ceremony, we hopped in my car and headed down the road to Jefferson Barracks Park and got some of their first pictures as Mr. & Mrs. I had heard that the fall colors were supposed to be slightly muted this year due to the weather, but let me tell you...it was still amazing! The only thing missing was a deer, sorry Grant :)
Here is a sneak peek at some of my favorite shots of their special day, ENJOY!!
The boys were goofing around outside before the ceremony and I have to say, it took them zero time to warm up to the camera...they were making my job all kiiiiinds of easy!
While she was getting ready, Kim had me convinced she was completely calm and collected....until these final moments before saying I DO that is ;)
One thing I learned about Grant throughout the day is that he has like 100 different facial expressions. I love this one he flashed when his mom was pinning on his boutonniere....like "IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME"!
It's OFFICIAL...I present to you Mr. & Mrs. Grisham!!
Oh how I lovvved it when Grant started singing to his bride during their first dance...these are the moments that make my head unconsciously tilt to the left as the smile glides across my face. You know, that smile that you can feel from your toes to your nose...ahhhhhhh!
When I saw Kenneth busting out his dance moves I thought WOW this kid can dance! Then his mom, the beautiful bride, joined him and I quickly learned where he inherited his skills...awesome.
Kim & Grant, thank you so much for making me feel like part of the family for the day and for being so easy and fun to work with. This is only the beginning of the fairytale....may you live happily ever after!
